I work with healthcare data, building data pipelines, machine learning, and AI applications. My independent research interest is reliable healthcare AI: testing whether a model still behaves as intended when it meets patients with conditions it was not built to separate.

Proposal and protocol developmentEvaluating and Improving the Specificity of Stool Microbiome AI for Colorectal Cancer in the Presence of Crohn’s Disease
Do models developed to distinguish colorectal cancer from control samples incorrectly flag Crohn’s disease samples, and can incorporating inflammatory-disease information improve specificity while preserving cancer sensitivity?
This is exploratory research, not a clinical diagnostic service. The work is at the planning stage and no results exist yet.
